Channel 4 Education has announced that it will launch an online graphic novel at the end of the year which deals with issues facing teenagers today.
Titled Pressure, the digital publication is being created by independent comics imprint Pulp Theatre, which previously developed the Brodie’s Law series.
The story follows two beautiful alien teenagers who land on Earth and establish a tattoo parlour in Camden. Released in weekly instalments starting from December, the novel also deals with a range of issues facing teenagers, including relationships, alcohol usage and sexual health.
Channel 4 commissioning editor for education Alice Taylor indicted that a paper version of the book is also being considered, which would be free to access if it comes to fruition.
